Bookfest
Lifeline Newcastle & Hunter 's 2012 Bookfest was held on the 15th and 16th September.
The Bookfest was huge success thanks to the tireless work of Coordinator Wendy Paterson, her band of volunteers and the thousands of book-lovers who streamed through the doors throughout the weekend.
Lifeline Newcastle & Hunter would like to thank media supporters The Newcastle Star for their continued assistance in promoting the event far and wide. We are also very grateful to major supporter Acrobat Removals for storing and transporting the books the boxes of books to the venue.
After expenses, over $22,000 was raised - vital funds which will directly support Lifeline Newcastle & Hunter's counselling services throughout the Hunter.
Book Donations
The next Bookfest, sponsored by ACROBAT REMOVALS will be held in September 2013... Watch this space for further details!
In the meantime, if you would like to donate your preloved books to Lifeline Newcastle & Hunter, we have a big blue book bin at 199 Broadmeadow Road Broadmeadow. Lifeline shops throughout the Hunter also gratefully accept donations of books.
