Lifeline's Lifelong Pegs
Lifeline’s Lifelong Pegs are back!
Lifeline Newcastle & Hunter are proud to announce the return of the famous Lifeline Lifelong Pegs.
From humble beginnings when, forty years ago, they were made in the Occupational Therapy Department at Morisset Hospital, Lifeline Pegs are back in production. The pegs are now being hand-made by a dedicated group of people with disabilities to the same quality, strength and enduring standards that the community has come to know and love.
According to Morisset Hospital Historical Society secretary Mrs Chris Gavenlock.
"These pegs are unique in that they keep washing firmly pegged to the line in windy weather, are virtually indestructible and don’t stain the washing. I am still using pegs purchased when my first child was born 37 years ago. Apart from sun fading and a few pegs being damaged by lawn mower blades, those pegs have many more years left in them. In today’s ‘throw away’ society the cost of $7.50 for 10 ‘Lifelong Pegs’ is a relatively small amount to pay for an item that lasts a lifetime and has the added bonus of supporting the work of Lifeline."
The pegs are made of plastic-coated wire and are renowned for their strength. The shape and size of the pegs make them also ideal for arthritis sufferers.
The pegs are available now through Lifeline shops in the Newcastle & Hunter region or CLICK HERE to purchase your pegs online.
All profits directly support the vital services of Lifeline Newcastle & Hunter.
